In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also brings the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
