I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
